Stittsville Friendship Group March 26th - Juliet's and Sylvie's Dances

Our wonderful Stittsville friendship group got a real challenge tonight as we worked on one of the upcoming Flashmob dances for May 2nd. “Heel Toe Rodeo” is definitely not a beginner dance, but they worked hard and did quite well for a first run‑through. It’s a work in progress, as I like to say, but I have no doubt we’ll get there.

The rest of the evening was simply a gift — such a joy to dance with these wonderful people. Looking forward to seeing you soon on the dance floor!

I’m excited to be dancing with you all. See you next week!

Stittsville Friendship Group March 12th - Isabella's and Sylvie's Dances

We had a very nice time line dancing tonight. We even went a little overtime so we could finish with Rita’s Waltz. All the dances are coming along beautifully, and I had a real sense that everyone felt good about their evening. I took a few pictures and some videos that will need a bit of editing first, but overall it was a wonderful night of dancing.

Rideau Park United Church St. Pats Theme Session Tomorrow March 13, 2026

Looking forward to our line dancing class tomorrow at the Rideau Park United Church. With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner, let’s bring a little Irish cheer into the room — if you’d like, wear a touch of green ☘️ to go along with the music. Nothing fancy, just a bit of colour to set the mood!

March 11 Class Cancellation – Ice Storm Update

🍀 Message About the March 11 Cancellation & St. Patrick’s Day Plans

Our final Level 1 line dancing class at the Carleton Heights Community Centre on March 11 had to be cancelled because of the ice storm. We held out hope until the very last minute, watching the weather closely, but the roads only became more dangerous by the minute. Safety had to come first.

I’m especially sorry because I had a little St. Patrick’s Day special prepared for you — something we were all looking forward to and had been building excitement for. And I didn’t even get the chance to thank my wonderful students in person before the end of the session. As The Mavericks would say… what a crying shame.

Thank you all for your energy, your enthusiasm, and your commitment throughout the session. I truly enjoyed dancing with you, and I hope to see you again on the dance floor soon

It was a great learning experience with new movements, including the elegant night‑club. A very pleasant afternoon class that went beautifully. We reviewed some old favorites and learned a new dance, then took another look at the waltz.
